Payment For Your Program

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, or by check.   Note: Program fees are paid in full before departure. Payment plans are available and will be discussed upon acceptance into a program.

Partial Scholarships

CHI annually offers small scholarships to high school students who apply and are accepted to be an exchange student for a school year program.   The scholarships are funded by donations received from Host Families who have hosted a foreign student through our Inbound Program or from contributions from outside sources. Since the monies come primarily from Host Families one scholarship of $500 is set aside for a Host Family student to receive. That and the remaining scholarships available will be given on the basis of an essay written by the student. Only one scholarship is awarded per person.

Deadline for Submission

Entries must be received in our office by April 1st. If your entry is received later it will not qualify.

Eligibility ? Students

1. Must be a high school student, 18 years or younger. 
2. Must have completed the academic year program application process, including submitting a full application.
3. Have received formal acceptance as a participant in the program
4. Paid the program's required deposit.

To enter the student will write a two page, double spaced, essay entitled "Why I would make a good American youth ambassador"; obtain a letter of recommendation from someone not a family member; have a smiling, close-up photo; complete a short application form.
