Wyoming has a population of 493,000 and Cheyenne is the state capitol. When in Wyoming see the Medicine Wheel on top of Medicine Mountain which has 28 spokes and a 245 foot circumference, built of stone by hands of some forgotten tribe. Visit Yellowstone Park and see the steaming geysers and towering waterfalls. There are numerous historical sites such as the Oregon Trail Ruts, Ft. Bridger, Ft. Casper to name a few. Wyoming state is the home of the Sioux Falls Canaries basketball team and the USHL team, Stampede.
ACADEMIC YEAR PROGRAM
By volunteering to open your home and heart to the world's young people, you are donating to them an uncommon gift: an offer of friendship, a willingness to share yourself and your way of life, and a genuine interest in learning about other cultures and customs. CHI host families are special people of extraordinary goodwill and generosity of spirit. Most important of all, they are willing to make a difference in their own family, their community, their country and ultimately the world. For more information about hosting an international student contact Area Adminstator Candis Bell at chicandis@chinet.org.
