Welcome to the Northern Oregon Region which includes the Northern Oregon Coast from Manzanita to Astoria - The Columbia River Basin from Astoria to Portland - The Portland Metro Area south to Woodburn - And the Columbia gorge and Eastern Oregon.
Northern Oregon Region boasts the beauty of the Oregon coast, the wonders of the Columbia Gorge and Mt. Hood and the tranquility of the eastern deserts. Our students enjoy outdoor adventures including skiing, snowboarding, swimming, hiking and local rodeos!
GROUP HOMESTAY PROGRAM
Our Group Homestay Program is very popular in our communities. Our families have opened their hearts and their homes to students every year, creating wonderful memories and lasting friendships for the students and for themselves.
This year we will welcome the following groups and we are in need of volunteer host families for each:
July 20 to August 10 - Tokyo Junshin Joshi High School - This all girl group are looking for host families in the Laurelhurst area in Portland. The study center is at Presbyterian Church of Laurelhurst, 935 N.E 33rd Avenue, Portland.
July 10 to July 26 - This group of middle school students are from Beijing China. They will be returning home just in time for the Olympics in their home town! This group is made up of both boys and girls ages 13 and 14. Their study center will be in Oregon City.
July 16 to August 8 - This group of 12 to 15 year old boy and girl Chinese students come from ChongQing China and are coming despite the devastation of the earthquake near their area! Their study center will be in SE Portland.
ACADEMIC YEAR PROGRAM
The Academic Year Program continues to be a wonderful experience for our local schools and families who whole heartedly welcome our students each year.
