Welcome to the California's San Diego, Imperial and Orange Counties Region Darla Cherry - Developing Area Administrator E-mail: chidarla@chinet.org |

Greetings from San Diego, Imperial and Orange Counties! This region encompasses the southernmost part of California... from the Mexican border up through Seal Beach, CA and from our beautiful coastline to the Nevada border.
Dedicated to the philosophy of spreading world peace through understanding, our region enjoys hosting students from many countries in our Academic Year Program and in our Group Homestay Program.
HOST FAMILIES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR PROGRAM
By volunteering to open your home and heart to the world's young people, you are donating to them an uncommon gift: an offer of friendship, a willingness to share yourself and your way of life, and a genuine interest in learning about other cultures and customs. CHI host families are special people of extraordinary goodwill and generosity of spirit. Most important of all, they are willing to make a difference in their own family, their community, their country and ultimately the world. For more information about hosting an international student, contact Area Administrator Darla Cherry at chidarla@chinet.org or phone (877) 906-9852.
HOST FAMILIES FOR OUR GROUP HOMESTAY PROGRAM
Host families participating in this program have the unique opportunity of experiencing what it's like to have a foreign student as a member of their family for a short period of time (programs vary in lenth from 4 days to 6 weeks). If you're interested in becoming a host family for one of these students, contact Area Administrator Darla Cherry at chidarla@chinet.org or phone (877) 906-9852.
