Teacher Coordinators

As a CHI Teacher Coordinator (TC) you will work with groups of international students during a three to four week period teaching conversational English, and taking fun field trips. This is seasonal work and does not require a teaching degree. A TC must be dynamic, outgoing and motivated. Finding volunteer host families is an integral part of the job, so it is of the utmost importance that you have community contacts. Full training and support provided.

Position Details:

  • Recruit volunteer host families
  • Locate and reserve study center (Place where classes are held)
  • Create an itinerary based on required elements with assistance
  • Send welcome letters to the students
  • Give an orientation to the families prior to the student's arrival
  • Organize Welcome and Farewell parties
  • Teach basic English conversation 4 mornings per week
  • Participate in afternoon activities
  • Accompany the group on one all day trip per week
  • Be willing to enjoy a unique and memorable experience
